Normally the plates are $30.00 and the pumpkins are $15.00. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;All of the plates are wheel thrown in Nara Porcelain. They were glazed with &lt;strong&gt;Carbon Trap Orange Shino&lt;/strong&gt;. The witch and bats were created using a Silhuette die cut machine. The vinyl stickers were applied to the porcelain, the plate was sprayed with the glaze. The sticker was then removed and the &lt;strong&gt;Brilliant Black&lt;/strong&gt; glaze was then carefully painted on. Once the shape was closed, I was able to alter the shape, pressing in against the air bubble captured inside. Below are the results.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;span style="font-family:verdana;"&gt;The Porcelain Star Fish box was colored with underglazes and colored pencils. The lines are incised into the leather-hard clay and then the contrasting slip (almost liquid clay) is brushed into the lines and it is cleaned up with a metal scraper. The lines are drawn with an oil/manganese mix. Thin sheets of colored clay in a pattern on a soft slab of clay is rolled into the surface.  The patterns distort slightly as it stretches under the rolling pin. While the Porcelain piece was leather hard, a thick Black Mountain slip was trailed on to create the pattern. The plate itself was created using B-Mix clay draped over a plaster mold. After the plate was bisque fired, it was glazed with Korean Blue Celadon. Porcelain slip (white) was applied to the inside and then it was glazed with Korean Blue which has a medium transparency.
